Design and development team of Design by Numbers, a startup that creates websites for clients such as the Disney movie studio, have developed a new pet website for Pets.com that aims to be a “social media-like portal that makes pets as relevant as the internet.”
“Pet owners will be able to find everything from pet news, tips and tricks, to what breeds of dogs are best for their owners, and what is the best way to keep them healthy,” the company wrote on its site.
The company claims that the website will allow pet owners to search by breed, owner, pet’s daily routine, how often they interact with their pets, and more.
“We believe that Pets.org will make pet ownership and pet wellness more accessible, and better connected,” the site added.
“With Pets.net, pet owners will have a way to discover what their pets love and appreciate and what their lives are like in the real world,” the developers wrote.
“This will include news, information, tips, and other useful content for pet owners.”
The website is the latest attempt to turn Pets.co.uk into a pet portal.
In January, the site went live and has already had over 200,000 registered users.
It also boasts a slew of celebrity pet owners.
Earlier this year, a new version of Pets.biz, which launched in November 2015, became the most visited pet website in the UK, according to research from the British Pet Safety Foundation.
